The YACR is one of the largest ringing associations in the country – the largest geographically and one of the larger in terms of the number of members. More than 350 of our churches have four or more bells hung for full-circle ringing, and our bell repair fund (BRF) is available to help enthusiastic communities restore and augment existing rings and create new ones. The Association is divided into nine branches and also has a very active Young Ringers group. You can find out all about each group’s activities by clicking on the links for each area above. We also have a proud tradition of peal ringing, and records of these peals, dating back to the earliest in 1875, can be found on this website. We hope that you will find this website helpful, whether you are already a member of the YACR, whether you haven’t yet learned to ring, whether you are an existing ringer who is visiting the area or would like to join us, or if you are simply looking for more information about ringing. |
