Ringing Census – 16th-22nd November 2026
The Ringing Census is for everyone
From 16–22 November 2026, bellringers everywhere are invited to take part in the Ringing Census. It is an opportunity to build a clearer picture of ringing today and help inform its future.
Every ringer’s experience matters. Whether you ring every week, occasionally, or are just beginning, you are invited to complete the individual questionnaire. Taking part is voluntary, and a broad response will help make the results more representative of our ringing community.
We want every ringer and every tower to complete the census, and there will be a target sample that Enumerators will help with, to ensure we have a good cross section of different types of towers across rural and urban settings.
The information gathered will help us understand ringing across the community and support future planning. Results will be published in aggregated form to inform the future development of ringing.
Please share the message with your tower and fellow ringers. Find the latest information at https://cccbr.org.uk/census/.
